You could sell it anywhere from a complete roller to just the shell. How much he wants to strip off it before he sells the rest as a whole is up to him. Granted the closer you get you a completely gutted shell the harder it will be to sell but I doubt he will get that far. In this case there's probably a point where the amount of money he is getting selling parts individually is less than he would get selling what was left as a whole. I'm positive he can find a buyer if the frame is good.
Fact of the matter is he is going to get more money parting it out. Most people really don't care if there is another Z on the road. Which in this case there still will be eventually.
